Wash human hair extensions according to their structure and care instructions. Removable pieces and installed hair need different handling; do not assume one routine fits all.
1. Detangle gently
Support the base and work from the ends upward using a tool suitable for the texture. Avoid pulling on attachments.
2. Clean and rinse
Use a shampoo appropriate for the product, following its directions. Work gently without rubbing the strands together and rinse residue thoroughly.
3. Condition where directed
Apply a suitable conditioner to the lengths. Keep it away from attachment areas when the instructions require it, then rinse.
4. Dry completely
Blot without wringing. For installed hair, dry both the lengths and foundation; for removable pieces, follow their drying and storage guidance.
For newmisshair human hair, wash when needed based on buildup and the installation rather than a fixed wear count.
Support the attachment while handling lengths
Work in manageable sections and detangle from the ends upward. Keep the attachment area supported so releasing a knot does not pull on your natural hair. Use only products and tools appropriate for the selected extension type.
Finish with a moisture check
After rinsing and gently blotting, follow the recommended drying method. An installed base can remain damp after the lengths feel dry. Check hidden areas before covering or storing the hair. If extensions repeatedly mat after washing, review residue, friction and handling with your stylist rather than scrubbing more aggressively.
